german Dutch

Hello.

It was an inordinate love of spelling and all things language that led me to my undergraduate studies, majoring in journalism and German. Not long after, further passions – history, sausage, compound nouns – led me to Germany on a student exchange, from which I never really went home.

Later, I moved to the Netherlands, working variously as an English teacher, editor and translator. It was here that I decided to set up The Word Spot in an effort to formalise and expand the freelance work that I was already doing. As always, the aim is to offer quality language work with friendly and affordable service.

And here I still am. Still loving it, always getting a kick out of new texts and great clients – and as obsessed with spelling as ever.

Yours in words,

Owner

Totally comprehensive, and gets straight to the heart of what I want to say!
