Procedure
Just fill out the request form and upload your document. The text can be in almost any format, though Word is preferred. In line with your wishes, we’ll look at grammar, punctuation, spelling, expression, tone, structure and/or overall flow. As a rule, we use the track changes function so that you can easily view our suggestions, and accept or reject them as you wish. You are also always welcome to ask for an explanation of the changes or discuss any questions you might have.
Languages
As with translations, we can arrange work in many languages. We specialise, however, in English editing. Be sure to let us know your preference for British, American or even Australian English when you upload your document.
Academic articles
If you intend to submit your paper to an academic journal, we take pains to ensure that it meets all the relevant requirements (word count, subheadings, referencing format and so forth). So don’t forget to fill out the journal name when you upload your text to us.
Fee
Editing work is charged per hour. As a very rough guideline, we edit at a rate of about 1500–2000 words per hour, depending on the quality of the text. We are happy to offer a discounted price for long documents (e.g. more than 10,000 words).
